The challenge
Global Financial Integrity (GFI) fights illicit financial flows, money laundering and corruption worldwide. To do it, it needed to put real analysis and control tools in the hands of customs agents.
The challenge: a platform able to cross large volumes of import and export transactions and flag fraud and anomalies, with the reliability an international, sensitive project demands.
The solution
We built GFTrade, an Angular PWA that lets agents manage import and export processes, browse transaction history, control invoicing risk and detect fraud and anomalies.
We also handled the periodic loading of transaction data from different sources and the AWS-hosted infrastructure.
Application, data and infrastructure: PWA development, periodic data loads and AWS deployment.
Results
A critical, international project for the common good: technology in service of stopping financial fraud. Where others stop at the report, here we built the operational tool agents actually use.
